EARLY DETECTION
Majority of breast conditions are not cancerous but still a cause
of significant concern. Early detection of breast cancer can result
in cure rates between 95-100%. The Physicians at the Center strongly
recommend monthly breast self-examination. This is the best way to find
a lump, a change in the contour or a change in the feel of a part of
your breast. Majority of these findings are of no concern, however,
still need to be brought to the attention of your physician for evaluation.
We also encourage yearly examination by a physician, after age 40,
and sooner in high-risk patients. A yearly mammogram after age 40 is
recommended.
