PREVENTION / SURVEILLANCE

After the completion of treatment the team continues to monitor the patient for possible recurrence by close observation, physical evaluation and use of imaging and appropriate lab. work. The team also makes recommendation about benefits of long-term hormone suppression, life style changes, dietary changes, and additional prophylactic surgery to prevent the development of another breast cancer.
